[Well, Ingo's been returned from his kidnapping. That was--... yes. Not cool. Let's not go there. Good idea.

It's been some time since he's been back in the enclosure, and even longer since he'd been in the enclosure in his actual body. Thankfully, he seemed to be in once piece now, and not spread all over the place like the giant subway train he'd previously been! So that's a good thing!

Anyway, looks like he missed a lot. But before he can really seriously look at the Malnosso (ugh) mess, his Pokémon find him-- and thus, he is distracted for a time. After being separated for a week and a half or so he can't exactly say no to them...

So Ingo is outside this evening, sitting on a bench somewhere near Community Housing Building 3 and quietly browsing the journal. His Haxorus is asleep on its side on the ground next to him, which looks kind of weird considering it's a pretty large dragon. Chandelure found a ball, and the ghostly light fixture is currently engaged in a game of catch with a less-than-willing Excadrill, tossing (more like smacking) it back and forth a small distance from the bench. Every now and then Chandelure gets too exuberant and the ball goes flying elsewhere, earning a mild reprimand from Ingo.

You're welcome to stop by and say hello (or "where were you" if you noticed or "your voice sounds familiar" if you rode the train) of your own will, but there's also a chance of Chandelure's game of ball including you, whether this inclusion was on purpose or otherwise. Do watch out for incoming balls if you're passing by!]

[A walk with Feraligatr, oooh... ♥ Meanwhile, Excadrill follows close at his Trainer's side and Chandelure floats ahead here and there, keeping a very sharp lookout for a replacement ball.

Ingo will notice that, however. Murkrow was rather... energetic, so seeing messy feathers wouldn't be too much of a surprise to him, but here they're all mussed and damaged in one spot. Huh.]

...Practicing a new attack, perhaps? [He gestures to the bird sitting on Silver's head.]

-Huh? ...Oh, he must be talking about...] Not quite. [There is some series of him and his Pokémon all exchanging looks after this statement, but they all keep their same general disposition.]

[And it's on one of those times that the ball goes flying that Gold appears. Specifically, Aitaro has leaped into the air and intercepted that ball, catching it with his two tails.

It seems the two were on a walk through the village, when he spots the Subway Boss on the bench.]

I see. One of the newer ones, then. [He nods, interested.] And how are you faring? You certainly don't seem to be adverse to... aerial practice. [With the flying and the crashing...]

[Ooh! Ooh! Aitaro, over here! Toss it back to Chandelure! And Excadrill can be the Pansage in the Middle! (Excadrill objects to this.)]

Gold, good evening. [He tugs on his hat brim in greeting.] Good to see you. [And good to see you without any thought bubbles hanging over your head.]

I'm actually not sure if we're doing well... With the Malnosso's threat Silver has been teaching us new things, but it's hard to learn so much so fast.

[Not that she'd complain about the hard work, or try to avoid it. No, it's simply difficult as a fact.]

Hm. [Should he inquire further? Silver didn't elaborate on it himself, though, so maybe he doesn't want to. Ingo won't push it.

Instead, curiously--] Is this level of effort... regular? [Considering the battle he witnessed between Silver and Gold, he really has no idea. how do you train in pokespe]

[Good on you, Silver, he thinks. Smart boy. Ingo has yet to properly immerse himself in the Malnosso information, but preparation is always a good move.]

Do what you can. Even small increments of progress on the track of growth can help. [...] If you need more guidance, I could perhaps be of assistance...?

Meanwhile Excadrill is sour and ugh and how could you guys make him play this entirely silly game (as he makes an enthusiastic swipe at Chandelure's ball with a shovel-claw)]

At long last. At the very least I seem... unaltered. [Ingo expels a drawn-out breath, suddenly looking tired.] I would ask how things were at this destination, but judging by the Malnosso announcement... [they're stirring up more trouble. Lovely.]

[Mallies? ....Oh, Malnosso--] Only just now.

[He shakes his head a bit. He was a little tied up, you see...]

...Only just now? [Dude it's been up for like three days. Has he just not checked his journal? Then again, Silver only recently got into the habit of checking his journal more than once in a blue moon.

...Come to think of it, he hadn't seen Ingo around lately until just now...]

Mm. The Malnosso had taken it upon themselves to forcibly transport me to their experimentation facilities. I was returned only this morning.

[Excadrill reaches a digging claw up to tug reassuringly on his Trainer's coat. Nothing's wrong with him now, right? That's a good thing...!]

[He is pointedly trying not to look really bothered by that, but as straight as his face is, he can't completely wash away his intense discomfort. He was kidnapped by the mallies. Kidnapped-

Yeah, he's not going down this train of thought.] Are you okay? [...Whoops, is he showing concern? Well shit.]

Ingo looks down at Silver thoughtfully, for a moment, then turns and stares ahead of him again.]

...Yes. I sustained no lasting damage or effects. [He pauses. For the concern--] Thank you.

[Ending on that might be awkward, though, so he continues.] And so, I see the Malnosso have threatened to force our hand. So you were preparing?

I see. [Hmm. While Ingo doesn't have a flier himself, Emmet would use his Archeops to fly around in a similar fashion, so...]

I witnessed your earlier performance-- I could at the very least give some advice on flying. [Glancing at Skarmy--] Your Skarmory is still young, I see... so short distances will be best. [... And then, back at Shiemi--] Also, perhaps moreso than the act of flying itself-- learning to land is important.

[He taps his chin, in thought. Emmet always looks like he was swinging off of monkey bars on the playground when he landed...] Landing usually involves some momentum, so it's best if you prepare for it beforehand. I've often seen people landing end up running a few paces before coming to a stop.
