[So lately there have been a bunch of crazy body changes the poor people of Luceti have had to go through. Ingo is no exception, but even after being turned into a Pokémon yesterday, he definitely wasn't expecting this.

SUDDENLY, SUBWAY SYSTEM.

There's a new set of stairs near the fountain that descend underground. The sign beside it helpfully spells out LUCETI SUBWAY. Elsewhere in the enclosure, similar staircases can be found, or the subway simply emerges from underground at the end of its path (such as the one near the beach).

Going down the stairs near the fountain reveals a rounded room with a number of platforms like this. The maps inside depict where each subway line goes. Most of the subway lines are pretty normal, but there's one that just goes in a circle labled "BATTLE LINE." There's an instruction sign on its platform explaining that it's a Pokémon battling line, and if you board you will be expected to specify your battle type and face 20 hologrammed trainers before reaching the SUBWAY BOSS(a hologrammed Ingo and/or his brother). GOOD LUCK CHALLENGERS.

Yep, other than that and the suspiciously Ingo-sounding intercom, it seems like a totally normal subway!

...Except one more thing.



Why do the trains have sideburns?!]



[Feel free to use the subway as you please! Tag in traveling groups, run into each other on the cars, or strike up a conversation with intercom-Ingo, whatever works. There can be stations wherever, and they can be underground/aboveground, either is fine! YEAH.]

[ALRIGHT SNEASEL LET'S DO THIS. This time Sneasel starts up with Swords Dance.]

[Tynamo fires a Thunder Wave Sneasel's way. Swords Dance and paralyzation and speed drops, oh my!

Simipour on the other hand will try a Focus Blast at Aitaro-- and it's got an Expert Belt, so hope that doesn't hit. Or, you know, you could avoid that whole mess if you used Fake Out. C'mon Gold, take advantage of Technician like Ingo told you a while back. Doitdoitdoit.]

[Aitaro seemingly takes that Focus Blast head-on!

...Except 'Aitaro' vanishes, having been a substitute Gold wordlessly ordered Aitaro to set up on the first turn. This is the power of their bond Ingo, suck it.

And where does that leave the real Aitaro? Launching a Payback attack at double the power on poor Simipour.]

[Yeah, Tynamo? You're gonna slow Sneasel down for the millionth time in these fights Go ahead, try to hit Sneasel. See what happens. Sneasel's just going to build up a giant bundle of snow while you do that.

Tynamo meanwhile tries a Spark. Sneasel are you building a snowman attack or what]

[The spark hits! But Sneasel can take one of your stupid sparks... And dish out an Avalanche, which is all the more powered by Swords Dance. Get out, dude. Your watermonkey can take a hit too- even if it's not the most effective thing, it should hit hard enough.]

[OOP. YEP. Simipour's down, as if the U-turn wasn't enough... and Tynamo's defense is only mediocre, so it's definitely out.

Doesn't matter. Gold's taking care of the one that very obviously looks like a fire type, so Sneasel just readies another round of overkill Avalanche.

[Super-effective Water-type move, yup! Heatmor holds on, though, and uses Stockpile. Golett uses Iron Defense, so the Avalanche ends up only dishing out average damage-- but it still hits Golett pretty solidly.]

[Okay, we're doing good, Politaro! Go for a Surf attack!]

[Sneasel, get behind Politaro. Or on him. Or whatever you have to do to- you can't move, can you.
